November 9th Second Saturday Workday

We’re returning to Georgia this weekend to work on the section between Sandy Ford and Warwoman Dell.

We’ll meet at Warwoman Dell at 9am and plan to work until about 3pm.

Please bring work gloves, good boots, plenty of water, lunch, any meds you might need and esprit de corps.

If you’re new to trail maintenance or just want to learn more, you can find more information here on our site.

Don’t be shy, we’ll provide everything you need to enjoy your day while making a huge impact for future enjoyment of the Bartram Trail. The hard work of our volunteers is what keeps the 112 miles of trails open and usable all year long.

October 29 Trailhead Tuesday

This week, due to the amount of trail work that needs to get accomplished after the storm, we will be having a full workday in Georgia. We will meet at 9AM at the intersection of Warwoman Road and Willis Knob Road.
Willis Knob Road is 10.7 miles east of Clayton on Warwoman Road. Thank you for your volunteerism!

October 25th Walking with Bartram

This month we will be starting at Wallace Branch and hiking up to and connecting with the Trimont Ridge Trail, which takes us back to the old state prison on Co-op Road. From there we will take the sidewalk back to the Lazy Hiker. This hike takes us through some beautiful cove forest and alongside ancient trade paths. The Trimont Ridge Trail is the proposed reroute to the Bartram Trail that will hopefully take place in the next few years.

This section isn’t in our Bartram maps, but it will be a 5-6 mile hike.

October 25th Walking with Bartram

At the end of this month (if the National Forest is open), we will be hiking from Wallace Branch and connecting to the Trimont Trail that originates at the old prison on Co-op Road. From there we will take the sidewalk down Harrison Ave back to the Lazy Hiker. This section of the Trimont trail is the proposed reroute to the Bartram Trail that will hopefully take place in the next few years.

This section is not currently on any of our Bartram maps, but it is about a 5 or 6 mile hike, and goes through some beautiful forest and by some ancient trail systems on Trimont ridge.
