This month you’ll have the immense pleasure of meeting CT Krunch – a sweet 60 pound, 6-year-old pup who is a great hiker!
We’ll meet at Appalachian Animal Rescue Center and have a nice little walk with our sweet friend. Don’t forget to bring lunch and be prepared to be outside for a couple of hours.
Hope to see you there!
This month we’ll be working on improving the creek crossing at Dick’s Creek near Sandy Ford in Georgia.
We’ll plan to meet at Warwoman Dell at 1pm and work until about 4pm, then head over to Outdoor ’76 in Clayton for a cold drink.
Please RSVP if you are interested in coming, and let us know if you’d like to carpool from Franklin.
Hope to see you there!
A little known secret of Rabun County is a trail that connects Black Rock Mountain State Park and the Foxfire Museum.
This trail is a great way to explore both of these areas on foot, but it needs some work. There are several trees down, a large rootball to be removed, and a lot of erosion in need of mitigation.
This is a great way to help out several local organizations in one workday to help restore this beautiful trail on the eastern slopes of Black Rock Mountain.
Come join us, no experience is necessary! Just bring gloves, good boots, water, lunch, and warm clothes. We will have all tools, hardhats, eye protection, and extra gloves if you need them.
Please RSVP below if you’d like to join.
