This will be a special Trailhead Tuesday and really hope our Georgia folks can make it. We’ve coordinated with a Boy Scout Troop who will be thru-hiking the Bartram Trail during this week and they will come through Warwoman Dell around the same time we’re there. We’ll help them all earn their service badges and share in tidying up the Dell a bit.
If we have enough folks turn up, we can divide the group to go out to Russell Bridge, Hale Ridge Rd, Sandy Ford, and some stay at the Dell to work with the Scout group.
This is a program for those looking to get involved but with limited time. We will meet in the early afternoon to divide and conquer some minor clean up and trail head maintenance. We’re looking for folks to visit a set of selected trail heads to re-stock Bartram Trail information cards, complete a trail head condition report, pick up any trash in the area, and chat with hikers as they start their day hike.
We’ll supply everything you need for the day. Although we suggest you bring your own gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and a positive attitude.
We’ll meet at 1pm in the far parking area at Warwoman Dell near the pavilion and southbound trailhead. We’ll regroup between 3-4 and head over to Outdoor 76 in Clayton for a cold beverage.
