This Friday, December 16th, we will be working the Georgia section of the Bartram Trail just below Rabun Bald. We will meet at 9am at the bottom of the access trail at Beegum Gap and hike in a bit to begin work. More detailed directions will be provided to those who are going to join us, but this trailhead is located in Sky Valley, GA off of Bald Mountain Road. Google Map link
This will be an opportunity to meet and work with our PLC Crew from Southeast Conservation Corps. This week is their last hitch for the season and will be wrapping up 16 weeks of fantastic work completed on both North Carolina and Georgia sections of the trail.
We’ll be meeting at Beegum Gap trailhead at 9AM and will plan on being back to our vehicles by 3pm.
Please bring work gloves, good boots, plenty of water, lunch, any meds you might need and esprit de corps.
If you’re new to trail maintenance or just want to learn more, you can find more information here on our site. Don’t be shy, we’ll provide everything you need to enjoy your day while making a huge impact for future enjoyment of the Bartram Trail. The hard work of our volunteers is what keeps the 110 miles of trails open and usable all year long.
Please RSVP so we can plan the work and tool requirements.
Thank you for your volunteerism!
