Feel free to bring a journal, art supplies, etc., in case you feel inclined to write or artistically express yourself during meditation. The location and date is TBD. Dancing Porch Bear Statue

Donated by Helen Rogers, Artist

This is a one of a kind, ceramic statue sculpted by our BRBTC member, Helen Rogers.

Helen says, “it is one of a series entitled, ‘Dancing Porch Bears’. I began making these bears after several black bears began frequenting our deck in pursuit of bird feeders. After the bird feeders were removed, they continued visiting us-though they didn’t climb up onto the deck anymore, preferring to walk-or in my mind-dance around our porch.”

The bear was sculpted of high fire clay and fired in an Anagama wood kiln at the Hambidge Center in North Georgia. The base is hand-painted with acrylic and varnish-sealed.
