Join Brent Martin and Brad Sanders, author of Guide to William Bartram's Travels, for a day at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia (Athens) exploring Bartram's journey through this part of Georgia and the plants he described and encountered.

This Friday's Third Work Day will be on the Georgia section of the Bartram Trail. Meet at Earl's Ford Road/Bartram Trail Head at 9:00 am.
This month we'll be working from Osage Overlook to Hale Ridge Road. 9-3 PM. Bring lunch, water, gloves, any meds you might need, and esprit de corps. Weather make-up day: Sunday, December 12th.
This month is a different kind of trail experience. We'll be "hiking" part of the Bartram Trail that is a road walk, but on to the new proposed route through downtown Franklin. We'll walk to the Franklin Greenway via the County Recreation Park and end up at Lazy Hiker Brewing. 7 miles.
This month we'll be picking up where we left off in December on the Osage to Hale Ridge road section of the trail. Work includes tread repair, brushcutting, and signage. We'll be providing a great hot lunch for everyone as well!
