Walking with Bartram: July 29 Beechertown to Piercy Creek

This is the second half of the section from Appletree Group Campground that we split into two to manage the mileage. We’ll start at the Beechertown trailhead and finish up with another crossing of the Nantahala River at the Piercy Creek pulloff.

We’ll plan to meet at the Piercy Creek pulloff at 9am and shuttle to Beechertown trailhead.

This section is roughly 7 miles.

Please bring an extra pair of socks/sandals/shoes to go home in, hiking poles or a stick to help with the river crossing, and the usual lunch, water, meds, and sense of humor and wonder.
