As part of the Spotfin Art and Nature Gathering on September 26th, the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy will offer an excursion to the Bartram Trail. Find the main event page at: https://www.coweeschool.org/spotfin
When: September 25, 2026 from 10am – 2pm
Where: The Bartram Trail: Wallace Branch to William’s Pulpit. This walk will be at a slow pace, where we’ll be spending more time communing than hiking.
Meet first for a reception at the Cowee Arts and Heritage Center at 9am, and then carpool to Wallace Branch. We will leave no later than 9:40am.
What: Sydney Kale is a phenomenologist, writer, and artist who works with plants. In this workshop, we will explore different ways of communing with plants and responding through creation. The workshop will involve somatic walks, writing practices, and nature journaling. Materials will be supplied.
Please wear appropriate clothing and bring plenty of water, food, and anything else you may need. We look forward to hiking with you!
