October Full Moon Hike

Tuesday evening, October 19th, our friend David Heck will be leading a Full Moon Hike at Scaly Mountain. The hike will start at the Osage Overlook BT Trailhead on NC106 at 4:30 pm. This will allow for both Sunset & Moonrise.
1.8 miles into Scaly Mountain, and 1.8 miles out for a total of 3.6 miles. Elevation gain of approximately 1100ft. This is a moderate to more difficult hike for experienced hikers resulting in a spectacular view.
Headlamps required, trekking poles strongly recommended. Supply your own beverages, water, snacks.
The view is dependent on weather, and the hike may be canceled with possible rescheduled if raining.
