May 13th: Naturalizing the Nantahala

May 13 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Come out on Monday, May 13th to slow down and explore the natural wonders of the Nantahala mountains. We’ll be taking our time, smelling the plants, hearing the birds, tracking the critters, and learning from each other and from the environment.

Along with what you would normally take with you into the woods, feel free to bring field guides, binoculars, hand lenses, cameras, and your effusive curiosity for nature!

The location of this outing is TBD, but we will only be hiking a couple of miles, and really taking our time. Ben Banick will be leading this hike, and is really looking forward to finding some cool spring wildflowers.

We care capping this hike at 10 people to lower our impact, and to avoid scaring off the plants 🙂
