Want to experience the Bartram at your own pace? Join us for a shorter hike on the trail where we take our time, explore life along the trail, and ask the important (ecological, philosophical) questions.
This month we will be hiking from the trailhead up to a Forest Service road crossing and back down to the parking lot, which is about 1.75 miles round trip. Children are welcome – just make sure you RSVP for everyone!
What to expect: Moderate incline on the first half of the trail where we will see Ray Cove Falls and enter into another forest type. On the way back down there is a small stream crossing with stones to use. The ground can get pretty mushy. It will be cold – dress warmly!
What to bring: plenty of water, snacks, extra layers for warmth, proper trail gear (hiking poles? extra sturdy shoes?) & enthusiasm!
If you are having trouble signing up online and want to join, refresh your page and try again. If that does not work please email me (fiona@blueridgebartram.org). Our RSVPs have been finnicky – our apologies.
