Chattooga River to Foothills Trail

Join BT hike leader Michelle Stephens for a Summer hike along the Chattooga River Trail to the junction of the Foothills Trail.

This is a moderate 10 mile in-and-out hike along the Chattooga River in the Sumter National Forest on what was once part of the SC Bartram Trail. Hikers will meet at the Russell Bridge parking lot at 9 A.M. and hike to Liglog and Pigpen Falls where it joins the Foothills Trail. There are several stream crossings and a total elevation gain of approximately 800’.
