Something great is brewing to celebrate Bartram Week! We’re partnering with Lazy Hiker Brewing in Franklin, NC to host a fundraising shindig, complete with a raffle for donated prizes, a silent auction, and more.
This fantastic day of celebration will begin at 12:30pm at the Macon County Fairgrounds with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Bartram Trail kiosk. This will be a new trailhead for the Bartram Trail and we’re looking forward to acknowledging everyone who has played a role in getting us to this point!
Immediately following the ribbon cutting, we’ll begin hiking the new route through the Fairgrounds an Rec Park, continuing down Allman Drive, through the Cartoogechaye Creek meadow, onto the Little Tennessee Greenway to Big Bear, then continue down Main Street Franklin to the Lazy Hiker.
Following the hike around 4pm, the festivities will continue with a special Bartram Beer, brewed by the Lazy Hiker. Anyone can join and we’ll have commemorative glassware for sale as well as other items up for raffle. Raffle winners will be announced at 6pm, just before Trivia begins.
If you’re interested in getting your raffle entries ahead of time, each $5 raffle donation will get you 1 entry for the drawing. More information on the items available and how to get your entries in advance can be found on our website here.
This event is open to the public, but please RSVP if you’re planning to come:
