Via Beegum Gap - 3.2 miles - Moderate
Travel to Beegum Gap trailhead. There is limited parking, about 5 spaces, in a small mountain holler. Please be kind to our trail neighbors! Head up the connector trail (keep left) towards the Bartram Trail. Once you get to the kiosk, head left towards Rabun Bald for 1.5 miles.
Via Hale Ridge Rd - 5.5 miles - Hard
Hale Ridge Road trailhead is accessed by taking GA 246 east from Dillard for seven miles to Scaly Mountain community and turning right on Hale Ridge Road. Travel 2.1 miles on Hale Ridge until bearing left at Bald Mountain Road. Continue on Hale Ridge for one mile and the trail head will be on the right.
Hike on the trail for about 2.8 miles to Rabun Bald, passing the Beegum Gap kiosk.
