Wallace Branch Trailhead

35.180321, -83.433377

Cross Wallace Branch and hike uphill on the Bartram Trail. In a quarter mile you will pass Ray Cove Falls. Continue for about another quarter mile, entering a new forest type of rhododendron and pines. The halfway point of this hike is the cross section of trail and FS roads. In this area you can see a few species of club moss and more of Wallace Branch.

Approaching the cross section of trail and forest service roads, head left back down the FS Road towards a Wallace Branch crossing. You will pass another FS road on your right. You can rock hop or log-balance across the small stream and head back down to the parking area.

This is a very popular destination for dog walking - leash your dog and be prepared for unleashed dogs of all sizes.
