October 12th Second Saturday Workday

For this workday we will be breaking up into teams to try and scout over 50 miles of trail on the North Carolina section of the Bartram Trail. There is still a lot that we don’t know about the condition of the trail in these sections, and there is a lot of ground to cover. With your help we can try to get a good picture of the damage that has been done and plan for future work and remediation.

This is contingent on the Forest Service reopening the Nantahala Ranger District. 

Please sign up if you are interested in helping with this project. Once we know who can attend, we will divide into groups to scout the trail.

This workday may be longer than usual, but we’ll solidify plans as the date gets closer.
