YMCA Backpacking Trip Report

Earlier this season, the program lead from the YMCA Camp High Harbor at Lake Allatoona, located in Cartersville, GA, reached out to discuss the Bartram Trail as destination for their summer trip. Our Executive Director, Brent Martin, spent some time providing some ideas for the hike and discussing the trail in preparation for their trip.

Two groups, one for boys and the other for girls, headed out on the Bartram Trail in North Georgia and enjoyed the trip. Each trip was a 5 day backpacking journey and the pictures are gorgeous.

We always love hearing trip reports and are so happy these YMCA groups enjoyed their time on the Bartram Trail. Their feedback says it best:

“Now that our summer tripping season has come to a close, I just wanted to thank you for all your help and time over the previous months! You were a huge help and had a hand in making our trips successful! We ended up running two BOLD & GOLD trips on the Bartram Trail this season. One boys trip and one girls trip, consisting of 5 days each. It was an awesome experience and I am super grateful for the maintenance y’all have done to keep the Bartram Trail as natural as possible. “
